Summer Plans
Summer is a great time to level your game up. Here are some opportunities that I think might be worth your time:
Bulldog Camp.
Dates: Monday June 23rd - Thursday June 26, 2025
Time: 9:00am - 1:00pm
Ages Welcome: Boys, Entering grades 3-12
Tuition: (NO LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED!)
Early Bird Pricing Until April 1 - $325
On April 1 - $385
Location: Yale Athletic Fields - 67 Central Ave, New Haven, CT 06515
Tuition Includes: Camp reversible and instruction from college and high school area coaches.
Daily Schedule: The first half of camp is spent on developing the individual player. Individual skills are taught and worked on. The second part of camp is dedicated to incorporating skills learned into games and scrimmage situations. Campers are placed in groups based upon both age and skill level which makes it a pleasurable experience for all campers, no matter how long they have been playing lacrosse. Campers will get first hand instruction from Yale players and coaches.

Last year I did not hear back from players in time to put the summer team together. It turned out that there was, in fact, enough interest and we would have had enough players if the boys had responded more quickly. Please let players know about this as soon as possible. Availability will be on first come basis in case we have too much interest for a particular position.
For the past 8 years or so I have put together a summer tournament team consisting of a great mix of boys from Clinton, Valley, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, HK and other local schools including Xavier and Notre Dame. I volunteer my time as coach, and so the only cost comes from tournament fees and uniforms. We usually play 2 to 3 southern New England tournaments that may be 1 or 2 days each, from the end of June to the end of July. Cost per player is based on those expenses and the number of players we get for the team. Usually around $200 to $300. We will practice 2 to 3 times per week.
Unfortunately this is not available to graduating seniors.

They also have a very affordable high school league on Friday nights. $50 plus US lacrosse membership. Friday nights 6:00-8:00.
